Eva Solo

Eva Solo A/S was founded over a hundred years ago. Today, the company is managed and owned by Jan Engelbrecht, who is the fourth generation after the founder. Jan's mother's name is Eva, and Eva's father, and thus Jan's grandfather, is one of our three former directors. It is Eva who named the company.

Their distinctive designs have in many ways been synonymous with the development of the modern home. Their starting point was high-quality, functional kitchen tools for the stay-at-home housewife – their bread and sausage maker from 1952 is a good example of this. When busy and out-of-work women arrived, they developed tools that made work in the kitchen easier. In the 1970s, when the open kitchens made their entrance, they were the first to have kitchen equipment that was nice enough to be displayed.
