Woodbird
Community can't just be seen – it has to be felt.
That was exactly what Woodbird set out to create at CIFF back in 2025.
Woodbird was founded by Chung Wai Cheung, born in Hong Kong and raised in Denmark. His life between two cultures has left a clear mark on the brand, where the lively street culture of Hong Kong meets the more relaxed Scandinavian style. For Woodbird it's not only about clothes – it's about community, creativity and the feeling of belonging. And you can feel it!
Even though the fashion industry has had its challenges, Woodbird is doing well. The brand is growing and attracting ever more people who want to join the journey. Today Woodbird is represented by over 650 retailers worldwide, including in Germany, Italy and Canada. But no matter how much the brand grows, they hold on to what matters most: community.
A perfect example was CIFF 2025 in Copenhagen, where Woodbird wanted to create more than just an ordinary exhibition stand. Here they built a little noodle shop, where staff, customers and partners could gather around a long table and share a meal – a place where the energy and the sense of community came alive.
The stand was created in collaboration with us at Easyfair. Our goal was to bring Woodbird's Danish-Asian roots to life in the space and create a stand that didn't just display clothes, but felt like a place you wanted to linger. From the first ideas to the finished stand, the collaboration became an exciting, energetic process full of creativity, trust and shared ambition.
The concept fused Scandinavian and Asian aesthetics: the industrial meets the street-food kitchen, while warm wood details and soft textiles create balance. The kiosk is the centrepiece with food, merch and recipe books, backed by a large tile motif as an eye-catcher. To the right, clothing racks, displays and a mood board; to the left, a calm dining area with high tables. The floor is inspired by the streets of Hong Kong, and the long table in front of the kiosk ties the areas together and creates a harmonious, guiding zone.
The collaboration between Woodbird and Easyfair is carried by respect for each other's craft and a shared creative energy. We inspire and challenge each other, and the result always turns out more alive, more vibrant and more engaging.
And that's how an exhibition stand became a living community and the starting point of an energetic collaboration, where creative energy, culture and people merge – exactly as Woodbird does it best, and where community can't just be seen, but felt.
